We are delighted to host an extraordinary journey of seasonal food with matching wine from Languedoc.

Gérard Bertrand is one of the most outstanding winemakers in the South of France, where he owns numerous estates among the most prestigious crus of Languedoc-Roussillon. Named in 2012 as the IWC Red Winemaker of the Year and Wine Enthusiast's European Winery of the Year, he is known locally as the "King" of the Languedoc. Brought up in the Languedoc vineyards, Gérard Bertrand is committed to sharing the characteristics and exceptional diversity of each of the terroirs. Twenty years of know-how ensures that wines bearing Gérard Bertrand's signature have a unique style driven each day by four fundamental values: excellence, authenticity, conviviality and innovation.

Extraordinary Guest Chef Night with Paul Foster

Our first guest chef this Autumn is the amazing Great British Chef Paul Foster.

Paul’s culinary journey has included time at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons in Oxfordshire, The French Laundry in California and time as Sous Chef with Sat Bains in Nottingham. In 2017 Paul launched his own much lauded restaurant ‘Salt’ in Stratford upon Avon. Even Jay Rayner loves it, he describes Paul’s food as ‘terrific’. His career path has helped to shape his food philosophies and cooking style, which can be described as ‘modern British with a focus on purity of flavour’.

Paul and Hywel will be cooking a collaborative 6 course tasting menu on the 24th of October using local seasonal produce.

Extraordinary Guest Chefs Ryan & Liam Simpson-Trotman

We are delighted to have the husband & husband team Chefs Ryan & Liam Simpson-Trotman here at The Beach House for our November extraordinary guest chef evening.

Their restaurant Orwells has won Restaurant of the Year  in the 2016 edition of the Good Food Guide as well as four AA rosettes.

Their style of food reflects the personalities of the chefs, whilst the ethos is to be true to sustainability and the seasons, their focus is on rural provenance with a modern approach.

Cooking masterclass with Head Chef Hywel Griffith

Don your aprons and join us at Beach House for our new exclusive masterclass sessions.

This New Year, Head Chef Hywel Griffith is inviting you into his kitchen to hone your skills and learn a selection of preparation techniques. Guests will then get to enjoy the fruits of their labour with a delicious 3 course lunch in the restaurant.

Masterclass sessions :

KNIFE SKILLS, Thursday 29th March, 8:45am arrival with lunch at midday.

Includes key skills to prepare a selection of fish and shellfish, as well as making Hywel’s dark chocolate cherry dessert.

The masterclass experience is £100 per guest and includes the morning masterclass with refreshments, followed by a delicious 3 course lunch and glass of our finest Prosecco. Guests taking part in the masterclass experience are welcome to invite a guest to join them at midday for the 3 course lunch at a cost of £38 and a glass of Prosecco for £7 . Maximum of 10 guests per class.
